College Jumps 110 Points in Forbes Ranking 

Baruch College jumped 110 points in this year’s “America’s Best Colleges” ranking by Forbes, placing #64 nationwide. Among public schools, Baruch placed #24, a 25-point rise. “Baruch College is an exemplar among institutions that make highly competitive academic programs accessible to a diverse, underrepresented student population in the system of higher education, while preparing them for both personal and career success,” said President S. President Wu Named to List of “Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business”

Baruch Forward: Be Campus Ready

*         Attention, Bearcats: Today, Thursday, Sept. 23 is the last day unvaccinated students can receive the single-dose J&J vaccine.

*         Don’t forget: Monday, Sept. 27 is the deadline to upload your proof of vaccination to CUNYfirst.

*         Students taking in-person or hybrid classes who fail to upload proof of Covid-19 vaccination to CUNYfirst by Sept. 27 will face withdrawal from classes, and financial aid could be impacted.

*         Students who are taking remote-only classes may not be able to enter any Baruch building, for any reason, after Thursday, Oct. 7 if they do not meet these deadlines.

 

Professor’s Memoir Analyzes the Trauma of War

When he was 19 years old, Glenn Petersen, PhD, flew 70 combat missions in Vietnam. Today, a professor of anthropology and international affairs at the Weissman School and professor of liberal studies and anthropology at the CUNY Graduate Center, Dr. Petersen examines the war’s aftermath from an anthropological perspective in his memoir, War and the Arc of Human Experience.
