Stay Connected

The Baruch College community cheered Daphne Palasia Andreades (’15). Last week, at a book launch in Brooklyn, the Baruch alumna read from her critically acclaimed first novel, Brown Girls—the New York Times review <https://pmail.baruch.cuny.edu/PoliteMail/default.aspx?page=6RQHGUDAX0y7jI2kpE0-8g&ref_id=eN7-YlxBE0ioAPdxg6EA4Q> calls it “fearless”—and discussed her perspective and experiences growing up in Queens in an immigrant community.

Commenting on the nearly 40 enthusiastic likes on the Weissman School’s Instagram post <https://pmail.baruch.cuny.edu/PoliteMail/default.aspx?page=uwIjKZJWFEKjDREmonc-8A&ref_id=eN7-YlxBE0ioAPdxg6EA4Q> , Ms. Andreades responded, “Thank you very much, CUNY Baruch!”

Baruch is doubly proud: Andreades returned to Baruch in Spring 2021 as a Sidney Harman Writing Fellow <https://pmail.baruch.cuny.edu/PoliteMail/default.aspx?page=E8g_OWEiOEC4lCHnMIbyug&ref_id=eN7-YlxBE0ioAPdxg6EA4Q> .
