Construction Planned for the Information and Technology Building Entrance

Dear Baruch Community,

On Monday, November 15, the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) will begin construction on the entrance of the Information and Technology Building located on the Clivner=Field Plaza. The work will feature new revolving doors, upgraded ADA access, and a new interior enclosure to help control the loss of heat and air conditioning.

It is anticipated that the project will be completed by the end of February and it will occur in two phases to ensure that building remains accessible. The right side of the entrance will be closed off first for construction. During this time, the left side will be operational. When construction on the right side is completed, the left side will be closed for construction.

While our goal is to minimize disruptions for everyone, the ADA access door may be intermittently unavailable. During those times, ADA access will be redirected to the Public Safety entrance on 26th Street. An officer is on duty 24/7 at that entrance to provide assistance as needed. Loud work will be coordinated and limited to the earlier hours of the day. Please contact me <mailto:[log in to unmask]> if you are planning a special event that may be impacted by this project.

I will keep the campus community updated as more information becomes available.

Sincerely,

Tom Gaimaro

Facilities Planning Director
