Black History Month Highlight: The SEEK Program

 <https://pmail.baruch.cuny.edu/PoliteMail/default.aspx?page=my5eES7Yjkia2j8qflUWKg&ref_id=mWedo0uAIkWKPr3j9ULlAA>

“We can’t tell the story of Baruch College’s success as an engine of social and economic mobility for underserved students without telling the story of the Percy E. Sutton SEEK Program,” says SEEK Director Kristi Perez, who narrates the Black History at Baruch video tribute <https://pmail.baruch.cuny.edu/PoliteMail/default.aspx?page=my5eES7Yjkia2j8qflUWKg&ref_id=mWedo0uAIkWKPr3j9ULlAA> to the program.

A higher education opportunity program, SEEK (Search for Education, Elevation, and Knowledge) has its origins in the Civil Rights Movement and grassroots fights for social justice at CUNY. The highly successful and influential program is the first of its kind in the nation.

This video is the second in a series celebrating Black History at Baruch. Rewatch the first, narrated by President S. David Wu, which honors Baruch’s first president, Robert C. Weaver <https://pmail.baruch.cuny.edu/PoliteMail/default.aspx?page=wtpXvQx2pk-PvC-FAysoVA&ref_id=mWedo0uAIkWKPr3j9ULlAA> .
