For the Fall 2020 semester, Baruch College has adopted a temporary policy to permit students to elect CR/NC grades with some course exceptions. Zicklin School Revamps Its Undergraduate Curriculum

Weissman Proud, Research Strong: Video Series Debut

The debut installment of the Weissman School’s new video series, Weissman Proud, Research Strong, features Pablo Peixoto, PhD, associate professor of biology, who recently was awarded a $1.4 million grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to study how neurons adapt to frequently changing levels of activity. The 60-second videos will showcase the vast range of research projects and amplify the exposure Weissman students have to cutting-edge discoveries. COVID-19 Priority Testing

To ensure the health and safety of all CUNY faculty, staff, and students during the pandemic, CUNY has worked with the City of New York to secure priority COVID-19 testing at designated NYC Health + Hospitals testing sites. Priority testing is now available for faculty, staff, and students working and/or attending classes on campus. Community members working remotely and/or attending classes remotely are not eligible. *	Black Mental Health Matters (BMHM) Support Sessions: In light of the recent events of racial violence and injustice toward Blacks and the outcry for support, the Baruch College Counseling Center is offering sessions aimed at fostering and supporting the growth, networking, collaboration, success, and well-being of Black students. If you are looking for a safe space to meet and talk, then this group is for you. BMHM is led by psychologists Jael Amador, PhD, and Gary Dillon, PhD, who work from a social justice and multicultural framework. On Wednesdays, 2–3 pm, via Zoom. Quiet Study Spaces Available

Baruch students can reserve quiet study spaces on campus. Note: Students not yet issued their Baruch ID cards may enter (type in) either their EMPL ID or SSN into the system at the Security Desk to gain access to the quiet spaces, provided the student has cleared the health screening.
