Baruch Receives $1 Million from Bank of America

Gift Funds New Initiatives to Support Black and Latino Students’ Academic and Career Success

Baruch College received a $1 million gift from Bank of America to fund comprehensive new initiatives supporting education and career development programs that prepare Black and Latino students to enter the professional workforce and embark on a path to success. The million-dollar gift represents the largest corporate gift to Baruch in 20 years and is the second largest in the College’s history.

Financial Engineering Program Ranks #1 in U.S.

Congratulations go to the Weissman School’s Master of Financial Engineering (MFE) Program. QuantNet’s 2021 “Rankings of Financial Engineering Programs <https://quantnet.com/mfe-programs-rankings/> ” placed it #1 in the U.S., ahead of such schools as Carnegie Mellon, Columbia, and NYU. For the last six years, Baruch has been at or near the top of QuantNet’s MFE rankings—securing first place in 2021, 2018, and 2017 and second place in 2020, 2019, and 2016. *	Black Mental Health Matters (BMHM) Support Sessions: In light of the recent events of racial violence and injustice toward Blacks and the outcry for support, the Baruch College Counseling Center is offering support sessions aimed at fostering and supporting the growth, networking, collaboration, success, and well-being of Black students. If you are looking for a safe space to meet and talk, then this group is for you. BMHM is led by psychologists Jael Amador, PhD, and Gary Dillon, PhD, who work from a social justice and multicultural framework. On Wednesdays, 2–3 pm, via Zoom.
