Join the Stan Ross Department of Accountancy as we welcome Gregory Waymire, Asa Griggs Candler Professor of Accounting at the Goizueta
Business School at Emory University, for the Emanuel Saxe Distinguished Lecture in Accounting. Professor Waymire's lecture is entitled
Accounting and the Brain.
The
Emanuel Saxe Distinguished Lectures in Accounting are given as a public service by Baruch College of the City University of New York under the auspices of the Baruch College Fund and the Stan Ross Department of Accountancy. The lectures were established
to honor
Emanuel Saxe, Dean and Professor Emeritus at Baruch College, formerly Morton Wollman Distinguished Professor of Accountancy and University Distinguished Professor (for more information on Professor Saxe's life and career at Baruch College, see the

One hour of New York State CPE in Accounting is available for attending this lecture.

Gregory Waymire is the Asa Griggs Candler
Professor of Accounting at the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. He has been a member of the Goizueta faculty since 1990. He previously served as President of the Financial Accounting and Reporting Section and Vice-President of Research for the
American Accounting Association. Waymire will serve as President-Elect and President of the American Accounting Association in 2010-11 and 2011-12, respectively.
Professor Waymire received his Bachelor's Arts & Sciences in Business from Indiana University, Master's in Business and Ph.D. in Accounting
from University of Chicago.
