February 29, 2024 Phase 2 Renovation of the Field Building at 17 Lexington Avenue: Update to Construction Activities Dear Baruch College Community, The Phase 2 renovation and modernization of Baruch’s historic Lawrence and Eris Field Building at 17 Lexington Avenue (aka 17 Lex) began in January and is making progress.
This work is being managed by CUNY and the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) in coordination with the College’s Office of Campus Facilities and Operations. For the next several weeks, the contractor will be working in different areas of 17 Lex and moving
the project into new phases of construction. To keep the project on schedule, the contractor will be working multiple shifts. New phases of construction include the delivery and installation of steel for the 7th floor, demolition work for the new Mason Hall
elevator, and continuing demolition work for the new 1st floor bathrooms. What to Expect During Upcoming Construction
