“Cultivating Our Ability to Feel: The Resonance of Music and Generosity”: President S. David Wu’s New Blog Post

Dear Baruch College Community,

In my new blog post, “Cultivating Our Ability to Feel: The Resonance of Music and Generosity,” I speak to my love of music and how it connects to various parts of my life and values. It might be considered a companion to the blog post I wrote about art earlier last year.

Departing from my usual focus on higher education, I turn my attention to a different aspect of the human experience: our emotions. What role do emotions play in our lives? How can we strengthen our ability to connect and empathize with each other while also fortifying our resilience against the challenges we face?
