Closure of the Information and Technology Building on Friday, July 21, for Skylight Repair and Crane Activity

Dear Baruch College Community,

As part of the upgrades and maintenance to the infrastructure of the Information and Technology Building (ITB), Baruch College is partnering with the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) for work on two ITB projects: repairs to the skylight and crane activity to place new mechanical equipment on the roof. For the community’s safety, these projects require us to close the building on Friday, July 21, 6 am–5 pm.

What to Expect

  • During this time, the entire building will be closed to occupants.
  • Two-thirds of the north side of Clivner=Field Plaza, near the ITB, will be double-taped-off to keep pedestrians out of the area.
  • Scheduled on a Summer Friday to minimize disruption, all of this work is expected to be completed by 5 pm on July 21. Please contact your supervisor for alternate working arrangements if needed.
  • The work above is weather dependent and may be postponed until Saturday, July 22.

Please email me if you have any questions.

Thank you for your continued understanding and patience as we repair and upgrade Baruch’s facilities and infrastructure.

Sincerely,

Tom Gaimaro

Director, Facilities Planning, Design and Construction
