Their backgrounds, majors, collegiate experiences, and future plans may be vastly different, but Valedictorian Emanuela Gallo (BA) and Salutatorian Daniel Ugalde (BBA) have a lot in common: academic excellence and amazing co-curricular leadership and engagement. Plus both are the first in their families to graduate college. Learn more about these inspiring grads and their future plans.

Curricular Innovations Open New Horizons for Students

  • Students with a major in the Zicklin School can now double major in a liberal arts or sciences concentration at the Weissman School. Known as the Weissman Concentration, this new multidisciplinary path is a perfect way for students to create tailor-made combinations for future careers.
  • At its May 15 meeting, the CUNY Board of Trustees approved the creation of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Zicklin School. The new department will serve over 300 undergraduate majors and provide coursework for the entire community.
  • Consulting firm ABT Associates has partnered with the Marxe School of Public and International Affairs to launch a graduate certificate program to promote diversity and equity in the field of policy analysis.

Hurray for the Bearcats! With this year’s triumph, Baruch’s athletics teams have won back-to-back CUNYAC Commissioner’s Cup Trophies! The annual Commissioner’s Cup recognizes the top overall athletics program in the senior CUNY Athletic Conference division. Congratulations to all of our student-athletes and coaches.

Academic Momentum

To graduate on time and, in some cases, retain financial aid, most full-time students should plan to take at least 30 credits per academic year. Chart your course to on-time graduation.

Stay on track for graduation or get ahead by registering for Summer Session 2023. A variety of classes and modalities are offered.

 

File Your FAFSA Form

File the 2023–24 FAFSA for the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 terms. Obtain or retrieve your Federal Student Aid ID to sign electronically. Baruch’s Federal Code is 007273. The NYS TAP (NY residents only) code is 1409.

The Baruch College Counseling Center offers free and confidential services. Through culturally responsive and trauma-informed counseling and psychological services, the Counseling Center assists students in achieving their academic and personal goals.

  • Individual Counseling: Please visit the Counseling Center’s website or email [log in to unmask].
  • Group Counseling: Two sessions of Relationship to Self and Others meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1–2 pm, on Zoom. To participate on Tuesday, email [log in to unmask]; to participate on Thursday, email [log in to unmask].
  • BIPOC Relationship to Self and Others Counseling Group: In-person at the Counseling Center, Tuesdays, 1–2 pm. To participate, email [log in to unmask].
  • Coping Skills Group: Using evidence-based and mindfulness practices, this group focuses on building skills to cope with everyday stressors. On Wednesdays, 11 am to noon, via Zoom. To participate, email [log in to unmask]. The next series will start on Wednesday, June 7.
