In new reporting from the Wall Street Journal, Baruch College is among the top 10 public schools nationwide for finance careers. Its #6 position is a testament to Baruch’s success as a gateway for opportunity, especially given its NYC location and access to internships and full-time jobs on Wall Street.

  • Noam Gal (’22) received a Fulbright U.S. Student Research Award and will complete a MA in Smart Cities and Urban Informatics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
  • This month’s Marxe Spotlight features Jesse Aman (17), who helps local NYC organizations secure public funding through her role at Capalino, an urban strategy and government relations firm.
  • Meet Aissata M. B. Camara (11), deputy commissioner for policy and strategic initiatives in the NYC Mayor’s Office for International Affairs, who launched NYC Junior Ambassadors, which brings students from the five boroughs to the United Nations for tours, talks, and classes.

Meet Katarina Matic (MBA ’24), a two-time CUNY alum! After studying at Queens College and the Zicklin School of Business, Katarina discovered her passion for public service and became the youngest chief of staff in the New York State legislature at the time. Academic Momentum

To graduate on time and, in some cases, retain financial aid, most full-time students should plan to take at least 30 credits per academic year. Chart your course to on-time graduation.

 

The New FAFSA Form Is Here

It isn’t too early to file the 2023–24 FAFSA for the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 terms. Obtain or retrieve your Federal Student Aid ID to sign electronically. Baruch’s Federal Code is 007273. The NYS TAP (NY residents only) code is 1409.

 

Support from the Counseling Center

The Baruch College Counseling Center offers free and confidential services. Through culturally responsive and trauma-informed counseling and psychological services, the Counseling Center assists students in achieving their academic and personal goals.

  • Group Counseling: Two sessions of Relationship to Self and Others meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1–2 pm, on Zoom. To participate on Tuesday, email [log in to unmask]; to participate on Thursday, email [log in to unmask].
  • BIPOC Relationship to Self and Others Counseling Group: In-person at the Counseling Center, Tuesdays, 1–2 pm. To participate, email [log in to unmask].
  • Coping Skills Group: Using evidence-based and mindfulness practices, this group focuses on building skills to cope with everyday stressors. On Wednesdays, 11 am to noon, via Zoom. To participate, email [log in to unmask].
