Undergraduate Climate Changemakers Present Research Abroad Three students—Jenny Ho (’24), Nikala D’Aguiar (’23), and Samia Alam (’24)—representing Baruch’s Heat Island Resiliency Project received $10,000 from the
Colgate-Palmolive Company to present their research at the British Conference of Undergraduate Research in Coventry, England. Working with Psychology Professor Mindy Engle-Friedman,
the team analyzed data on the impact of urban heat in
low-income NYC neighborhoods. Baruch Hosts Newsies Awards and Celebrates High School Journalism Developed at Baruch, the
Newsies Best in NYC Public High School Journalism Awards recognize outstanding student journalism across nine categories. This year’s award winners include a feature on first-generation students applying to college, a colorful cartoon that characterizes
