February 23, 2023 Campus Facilities Update: Single-Occupancy, All-Gender Restroom Initiative Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff, The Office of Campus Facilities and Operations—in coordination with Public Safety and the Office of Diversity, Compliance, and Equity Initiatives—has made plans to add and/or convert existing restrooms across campus to single-occupancy, all-gender restrooms. This initiative reflects Baruch College’s commitment to provide options for students, faculty, and staff and to create a welcoming and equitable campus. Restroom Locations and Project Status Below, you will see a listing of all planned single-occupancy, all-gender restrooms. (In parenthesis are the number of these restrooms for a particular building.) A few are already completed and available for use. Restroom floorplans are available on the Facilities and Operations website. The retrofits being made include converting some existing single-occupancy restrooms and repurposing some existing multi-use restrooms to single-occupancy, all-gender restrooms. Each of these restrooms will be clearly identified with new signage as well as door locks that indicate if the restroom is occupied. Currently completed and in use (3 total):
