February Is Black History Month

The College-wide Black History Month Committee has planned an extensive schedule of events, including conversations, film screenings, walking tours, and a Black culture pop trivia night. Attend the opening ceremony, Thursday, Feb. 2, from 12:30 to 2:30 pm, on the second floor of the Newman Vertical Campus, and follow the month’s celebration on Instagram @BHM_Baruch.

FAFSA Resources and News

  • FAFSA: The Guide: Understanding FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Save time, money, and stress.
  • 2023–24 FAFSA Available: File the 2023–24 FAFSA for the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 terms. Obtain or retrieve your Federal Student Aid ID to sign electronically. If you are a dependent, one parent will need an ID to sign too. Baruch’s Federal Code is 007273. The NYS TAP (NY residents only) code is 1409.

 

Register for the Spring 2023 Virtual Undergraduate Job and Internship Fair

The virtual fair is open to all current undergraduates interested in obtaining internships and entry-level positions within all industries. Online via Starr Search Handshake on Friday, Feb. 10, 12 noon to 4 pm.

 

DEI Fridays Return

DEI Fridays aim to provide a space for reflection and dialog and to nurture a sense of belonging. No registration needed to join the Spring DEI Fridays Kick-Off In-Person Gathering tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 1, Newman Vertical Campus Room 14-270, 4–6 pm. The Presidential Excellence Awards Committees seek nominations for the Presidential Excellence Awards for Distinguished Scholarship, Distinguished Teaching, and Distinguished Service. Deadline: Friday, Feb. 10.

 

Compete for a Chance to Win $1 Million: The Hult Prize Competition

The Hult Prize Competition—sometimes called the Nobel Prize for Students—challenges young people to solve the planet's most pressing issues. The Baruch College Counseling Center offers free and confidential services. Through culturally responsive and trauma-informed counseling and psychological services, the Counseling Center assists students in achieving their academic and personal goals.
