December 16, 2022 Strategic Planning December Update Dear Baruch Community,
As we bring this semester to a close, we are excited to share an update of our strategic planning efforts.
Thank you to the many students, faculty, staff, and community members who participated in various strategic planning engagements over the past several months. As shared in our
November campus update, nearly 600 stakeholders offered their thoughts and perspectives
regarding the current state and their future aspirations for Baruch College. We are inspired by the level of interest and participation in this
process and invite the campus community to review the key themes that arose from the engagement phase by visiting our planning website
document archive. The outputs from the engagement phase and several internal and external data sources are collected in
a new
Findings Report that will support the Baruch Community Strategic Planning Committee (SPC) in developing the draft strategic plan, inclusive of Baruch’s future mission, values, vision, and key strategic priorities. Please understand that the findings thus
far are not the strategic plan; instead it is a report of the data that the SPC and the entire community is using to co-create the 2023-28 Strategic Plan.
In the spring semester, we look forward to providing you with opportunities to review and give feedback
on draft strategic plan elements. Please mark your calendars for an in-person Strategic Planning Town Hall that is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 27, from 10:00 am to noon (registration details forthcoming). SPC members will also invite stakeholders to design-thinking
sessions to weigh in on our future strategic priority areas and brainstorm potential key initiatives that we will prioritize to propel our College forward. These feedback opportunities, like those held throughout the fall, will be facilitated by Blue Beyond
Consulting, our strategic planning partner. As always, if you have any questions about the strategic planning effort, feel free to reach out to us or any SPC member. You
may also visit the
strategic
planning website and use the
open
comment tool to ask questions or submit feedback.
