University Provost Spends the Day at Baruch

Wendy F. Hensel, Executive Vice Chancellor (EVC) and University Provost for CUNY (center), spent yesterday at Baruch to tour campus with President S. David Wu (right) and meet with faculty, administrators, and members of the Undergraduate Student Government.

EVC Hensel also hosted an in-person Town Hall that was moderated by Baruch Provost Linda Essig (left in photo) and attended by more than 100 students, faculty, and staff. The EVC outlined University-wide priorities, such as improving transfer student success, expanding student advisement and paid internship opportunities, and streamlining employer services. “Absent an intentionality to connect, we won’t connect,” she said, explaining that visiting and understanding all 25 CUNY campuses is an essential foundation to collaborative problem-solving.
