BaddDDD Sonia Sanchez as Part of Baruch’s Collaboration with the
New York African Diaspora International Film Festival Dear Baruch College Community Members, With
the generous support of the CUNY
Black, Race and Ethnic Studies Initiative (BRESI) and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Baruch College Office of Diversity, Compliance, and Equity Initiatives (ODCEI) is hosting lectures, panel discussions, and film screenings
throughout the 2022–23 academic year. In particular, Baruch College ODCEI administrators will use
CUNY
BRESI funds to foster a collaboration with the
New
York African Diaspora International Film Festival (NYADIFF) to present virtual and in-person film screenings from the extensive cinema libraries of
NYADIFF
and Artmattan
Films. Each screening will also feature conversations with the filmmakers and/or panelists.

an in-person screening of the documentary film

Sonia Sanchez. Following the screening,
Dr. Reinaldo Barroso-Spech, president of ArtMattan Productions
NYADIFF,
will discuss the documentary with filmmaker
