Fall Celebration Brings Festivities and Fun

Yesterday, students, faculty, and staff took a break from classes, teaching, and other responsibilities to decorate pumpkins, play Jenga, hang out with President S. David Wu, and more at Baruch’s Fall Celebration!

Top Recognitions and Community Faces

  • Way to go! Sending our best wishes to six Baruch alumni from the Marxe School who received Excelsior Service Fellowships. Meet the 2022 Class.
  • Discover how Isaac Amissah’s (’20, MS ’22) chance encounter with former Secretary-General of the United Nations Kofi Annan led him to the Zicklin School.
  • Meet Cheryl Smith, interim associate dean and associate professor of English at the Weissman School, and hear her vision to bring a poetic teaching project lens to the Office of the Associate Dean.

Stay Connected

So great to see Baruch colleagues at Citi Field celebrating the 17th Annual CUNY Black Male Initiative Conference! Pictured with Mr. Met (from left) are Art King, Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students; Alexandra Lozada, Director of Enrollment Marketing and Communications; Mary Gorman, Vice President for Enrollment Management and Strategic Academic Initiatives; and recent Baruch graduate Joshua Bennett (’22).

The event generated strong engagement across social media, including a livestream viewer who cheered, “Congratulations, CUNY BMI! The event showcasing the ambition, resilience and success of the students (authors, engineers, doctors, social workers, artists) was inspiring and heartfelt!”

Check out the full post here. To revisit the festivities, watch the morning and afternoon sessions.
