August 30, 2022 Building Community: Campus Facilities Update – 17 Lex Elevators Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff, We regret that two of the six elevators in the Lawrence and Eris Field Building at 17 Lexington Avenue (17 Lex) are currently out of service. The Facilities Department
is working continuously with our counterpart teams at CUNY and the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, which oversees facilities operations for public buildings such as ours, to rectify the issue as quickly as possible.
Extra Public Safety officers have been deployed to provide additional assistance to manage the volume of people waiting for elevators. If possible, please allow extra
time to reach your destination, and we ask that everyone using 17 Lex be understanding as this disruption may cause late arrivals to classes and offices. For planning purposes, the Office of the Registrar has identified peak traffic times, per class schedules,
as below:
