Planned Power Shutdown: Information and Technology Building, July 16–17

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

As part of Baruch College’s ongoing technology upgrades, we have scheduled a power shutdown this weekend in the Information and Technology Building (ITB/Newman Library building) for Saturday, July 16, from 8 pm through Sunday, July 17, at 2 am.

This outage will allow us to perform critical maintenance to the system that supplies electricity to the building.

Please note that the building will be closed during this time and access will not be granted to students, faculty, and staff.

What to Expect

We have planned this work for off-hours to minimize disruptions.

ITB occupants should save work on their computers prior to the shutdown whether working remotely or onsite and expect that computers in the ITB will not be available during the shutdown. This shutdown will not affect the online library systems, and computers located in other Baruch buildings should not be affected.

Thank you for your cooperation,

Sincerely,

Tom Gaimaro

Director, Facilities Planning and Construction
