November 18, 2021 Construction Update: Information and Technology Building Entrance Dear Baruch Community, Tomorrow, Friday, November 19, the entrance of the Information and Technology Building (ITB) located on the Clivner=Field Plaza will be inaccessible from 7 am until noon. During that time, building access will be redirected to the Public Safety entrance on 26th Street. Directional signage will be posted around the area, and a Public Safety officer will be stationed at the plaza entrance during this five-hour closure to assist and redirect people as needed. This temporary closure is part of the larger project to modernize ITB’s entrance. The work will feature new revolving doors, upgraded ADA access, and a new interior enclosure to help control the loss of heat and air conditioning. The project is being managed by the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York and is scheduled for completion by the end of February. Following this closure, the right-side door on the plaza will be available for use. Please be aware that the Public Safety entrance on 26th Street is ADA compliant and always available for anyone to use. An officer is on duty 24/7 at that entrance to provide necessary assistance. Please contact me if you have any questions. I will continue to keep the campus community updated as more information becomes available. Sincerely, Tom Gaimaro Facilities Planning Director |
