Community Feedback Sessions on Provost Search

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff:

I announced last week that Baruch College will initiate a national search for the next Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. I have appointed a search committee with diverse representation from across the College community. The committee is chaired by Arthur Downing, Vice President for Information Services and Dean of the Library. Executive search firm WittKieffer will assist in rendering a strong and diverse pool of candidates.

I am committed to an open and transparent search process where community feedback will be broadly solicited. The search committee will host two community sessions in November to inform the search process and establish the criteria for provost candidates. The sessions will be facilitated by search committee chair, Arthur Downing, and senior consultants from WittKieffer. I urge you to participate in one of the sessions listed below. Please plan to join these important discussions as your participation and support will greatly enhance the work of the search committee.

  • Tuesday, Nov. 17 from 1:30–2:30 pm: RSVP here
  • Monday, Nov. 23 from 1:30–2:30 pm: RSVP here

We also invite you to participate in the provost search stakeholder survey, which has been developed for all members of the College community. Please provide your input here.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at [log in to unmask] or email the search firm at [log in to unmask].

Sincerely,

S. David Wu

President, Baruch College
