On Wednesday, President S. David Wu sent a message <https://pmail.baruch.cuny.edu/PoliteMail/default.aspx?page=alpf4N0QHEe3OduHxnK8iA&ref_id=MBy--jQ_0UGGBSQMbCtMPA>  to the College community announcing that the CUNY Board of Trustees approved CUNY’s decision to extend the online and distance learning instructional modality for the spring semester. With classes and support services primarily taking place online and in a remote format, CUNY and the board agreed this measure would ensure continued health and safety for the University community during the pandemic.

Fulbright Award Winner Today and Future Policy Maker Tomorrow 

Congratulations to graduate student Munira Pulodi (shown) (MPA ’21) on earning a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant award to Azerbaijan. She will be working with local English teachers to support students. This experience will also be an opportunity to connect with the country’s rich culture and history. Access to Adobe Creative Cloud

On Friday, Oct. 30, the College’s free student, faculty, and staff access to Adobe Creative Cloud will end. For students who are enrolled in courses that require the Cloud can continue to use the software without interruption. The Counseling Center is offering two sessions of Relationship to Self and Others. Two groups meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1–2 pm, on Zoom. *         Black Mental Health Matters (BMHM) Support Sessions: In light of the recent events of racial violence and injustice toward Blacks and the outcry for support, the Baruch College Counseling Center is offering support sessions aimed at fostering and supporting the growth, networking, collaboration, success, and well-being of Black students. If you are looking for a safe space to meet and talk, then this group is for you. BMHM is led by psychologists Jael Amador, PhD, and Gary Dillon, PhD, who work from a social justice and multicultural framework. On Wednesdays, 2–3 pm, via Zoom. Quiet Study Spaces Available

Baruch students can reserve quiet study spaces on campus. Note: Students not yet issued their Baruch ID cards may enter (type in) either their EMPL ID or SSN into the system at the Security Desk to gain access to the quiet spaces, provided the student has cleared the health screening.
