Weissman Professor Receives National Science Foundation (NSF) Grant

Thanks to a two-year grant from the NSF <https://pmail.baruch.cuny.edu/PoliteMail/default.aspx?page=2ePk4RjtxUCK8C1Djnxx8Q&ref_id=F3OizvRCZkmXz3-jnDY9Zg> , Zhiqing (Albert) Zhou, assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at Weissman, will be investigating how nonwork experiences, such as family, community, and personal life, influence leadership styles at work. His $172,688 grant is part of a collaborative research proposal with researchers from Georgia State University and Michigan State University that adds up to a total award of $349,756.

*         Black Mental Health Matters (BMHM) Support Sessions: In light of the recent events of racial violence and injustice toward Blacks and the outcry for support, the Baruch College Counseling Center has begun offering support sessions aimed at fostering and supporting the growth, networking, collaboration, success, and well-being of Black students. If you are looking for a safe space to meet and talk, then this group is for you. BMHM is led by psychologists Jael Amador, PhD, and Gary Dillon, PhD, who work from a social justice and multicultural framework. On Wednesdays, 2–3 pm, via Zoom.
