Extending Deep Cleaning of Baruch’s Facilities

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

As community transmission of COVID-19 continues to spread across New York City and State, we assess daily the impact on the Baruch community. We are working diligently to disinfect the facilities at Baruch College and maintain some level of access.

We have hired a third-party vendor to assist with the disinfecting and deep cleaning of the buildings across campus and are extending that to the Lawrence and Eris Field Building at 17 Lexington Avenue (17 Lex). To facilitate the deep cleaning, there will be no access to 17 Lex effective immediately and until further notice.

Over the weekend, we will continue to assess the Baruch facilities that are currently open or have been closed for disinfecting and deep cleaning. Please continue to check Baruch’s COVID-19 Updates webpage<https://www.baruch.cuny.edu/coronavirus/?utm_source=webslider> for the latest campus-specific information as well as CUNY’s site<https://www.cuny.edu/coronavirus/> for University-wide updates.

Sincerely,

Mitchel B. Wallerstein, PhD
President, Baruch College
