Please join us for the last CIDR Demography Seminar of the academic year on Friday, May 16, 2014.

Speaker: Rachel Goldberg, Princeton University
Title: "Smartphone Study of Teen Relationships: Anatomy of a Pilot"
Time: 1:00-2:30 pm, Friday, May 16, 2014
Location: Room 3207, the CUNY Graduate Center, 365 Fifth Avenue (northeast corner of Fifth Avenue and 34th St.)

About the speaker: Rachel Goldberg is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Princeton University’s Office of Population Research, and will be an Assistant Professor in Sociology at UC-Irvine beginning in 2015. She received a PhD in sociology from Brown University in 2012. Her research focuses on the transition to adulthood and family influences on youth health and well-being in the United States and sub-Saharan Africa; she engages in secondary research as well as data collection. Her work has appeared in journals such as Demography and Population and Development Review.

We will also meet at NOON to have lunch with the speaker at the CUNY Graduate Center cafeteria (8th floor). Everyone is welcome to join the lunch and/or seminar. Fellows can also meet with the speaker after the seminar to discuss her work and ask for advice about graduate school, research, job market, career, etc.

The Demography Seminars are part of the Health, Labor and Demography series sponsored by the CUNY Institute for Demographic Research (CIDR), Graduate Center Economics Department, and NBER. Please check the CIDR website for updates: http://www.cuny.edu/about/centers-and-institutes/cidr/seminar-series.html

Have a wonderful summer!

Sincerely,
Na
