On May 12th, Dr. Alan E. Guttmacher, Director of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), will deliver a special lecture titled, “The Human Genome: Opportunities for Contraceptive Research?”

The Sheldon Segal Lecture Series is a collaborative effort organized by the Population Council and the Marine Biological Laboratory at Woods Hole to honor Dr. Sheldon J. Segal, a leading authority on global population issues, family planning, reproductive and maternal health, and contraceptive technology.
