Hello all,

On September 13th at 11:00 am, we will have a CIDR gathering, where students involved in the demography program and CIDR Faculty Associates can mingle and schmooze.  It will take place in the CIDR suite, room 601, at 135 East 22nd Street, and we’ll have coffee and snacks for all those in attendance.  It would be great to see all of you there.

On a different note, it’s PAA paper/abstract submission time again.  Last year, we had a remarkably good showing by CIDR folks and it would be wonderful to see that again this coming year in Boston (May 1-3, 2014).  The deadline for submissions is September 27th.  Please check out the PAA web site – http://www.populationassociation.org/ – and the PAA program site in particular – http://paa2014.princeton.edu – for details about the program sessions and the submission process.  I encourage you to contact me and/or other CIDR Faculty Associates for assistance with developing an idea or crafting a detailed abstract.
