Blackboard is a web based instructional supplement for learning that has been used very successfully in more than 1500 Baruch classes over the
past three years. Faculty are able to post their syllabus, lecture notes, web resources as well as create discussion forums to generate targeted
discussion outside the classroom meeting or download a course roster.

Prior to this spring semester, using Blackboard has required requesting the creation of each course. Starting this weekend, Blackboard will now
be automatically populated with all courses offered at Baruch through the Baruch Registrar's office. Faculty members who have used Blackboard
in the past will not need to request single course creations any longer.

Courses are automatically loaded with all students registered for the class. These students will not know of the existence of these courses until
the faculty member chooses to make their course "available" through the control panel on Blackboard.

If you have any questions or would like to start using Blackboard, please contact Mara Bianco at (646) 312-1032 or at
