JPMorgan's Senior Regional Economist Marc Goloven will deliver the first
Joel E. Segall Lecture entitled "The Metropolitan Economy: Career Trends
and Job Opportunities," on Tuesday, March 9. The talk will be held from
12:30 to 2 pm in Vertical Campus Conference Center.

Dr. Segall, who died last year, was president of Baruch College from 1977
to 1990. An economist by training, he taught at the University of Chicago
and worked in the Department of the Treasury and the Department of Labor
before coming to Baruch.

Mr. Goloven is widely regarded as the best economist analyzing the
metropolitan economy and identifying job opportunities in New York today.
He is the author of the bank's biweekly "Financial Digest," which reports
on regional, consumer, and financial market trends in the tri-state area.

The lecture is open all members of the campus community, and faculty are
encouraged to commend the event to their students. A light lunch will be
served.
