How to Submit Events to Baruch's Digital Media Library (DML)

Baruch College's Digital Media Library (DML) is a continuously growing
collection of digital media, providing a single point of online access to
panel discussions, lectures, events, and tutorials for the Baruch College
community.

Faculty and staff members from all Baruch departments can request to have
an upcoming event recorded and posted to the DML. Pre-existing videos,
audio clips, images, and multimedia presentations can also be converted to
a digital format and archived in the DML.

There are three steps to having an event posted to the DML:

1. Complete a Media Resources Request Form
(<http://www.baruch.cuny.edu/bctc/media/request.htm>)

2. Complete an Event Information Form
(<http://www.baruch.cuny.edu/bctc/media/metadata.htm>)

3. Have guest speakers sign a Consent Form
(<http://www.baruch.cuny.edu/dml/consent.pdf>)

Once an event is recorded, the media and library staff digitizes the
footage and catalogues the final product in the DML. A link can then be
distributed to colleagues and associates, and posted on different Web
pages for the general public. All events are searchable by keywords and
can be browsed by category.

For more information about the DML contact Jason Belland in BCTC at
