Promises and Problems", Weds March 18th, 12:15 p.m.

Please join the Weissman Center for International Business for its Mitsui & Co.
(USA) Lunchtime Forum,"Prospects for  on Wednesday, March 19th  from 12:15-
1:45pm.  Our speakers will offer contrasting views on prosects for future economic
growth in China.

The speakers are Daniel Rosen, former White House Advisor to President Clinton
on China, and Gordon Chang, who has lived and worked in China for many years,
most recently in Shanghai as counsel to the American law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind
Wharton & Garrison. Both Mr. Rosen and Mr. Chang have written extensively about
China.

Please also remember and mark your calendars: on April 9th from 12:15-1:45pm,
William Dunavant, Chairman and CEO of Dunavant Enterprises, one of the leading
cotton merchandisers in the world, will lead a panel discusssion on "The World
Cotton Market: Physical, Futures and Finance."

Both sessions will take place in the Vertical Campus, room 14-220.  Everyone is
welcome to attend.  We will be serving a light luncheon.
