I am pleased to announce the appointment of Patrice Tombline as the
Director of The Lawrence N. Field Center for Entrepreneurship and
Small Business.

For the past seven years, Ms. Tombline has worked in the DeanŐs
Office of the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences (WSAS) where
she was promoted from Assistant to the Dean to Director of
Administrative and Financial Services for WSAS. In this capacity she
was responsible for all personnel and budgetary matters as well as
the daily operations of the Weissman School. Prior to joining Baruch
in 1995, she worked as a media planner for the advertising firm of
DMB&B and as a senior grants management specialist at Memorial
Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Ms. Tombline received a BA degree
from Holy Cross College and a MPA degree from Baruch College.

We are pleased that Ms. Tombline will continue to contribute her
talents to Baruch College. I know that you join me in welcoming Ms.
Tombline to the Field Center.

Alvin Puryear
Lawrence N. Field Professor of Entrepreneurship
