I am writing as chair of the search committee for Provost and Senior Vice
President for Academic Affairs.  As you know from the President's July 12th
message, the search has resumed.  The position will be advertised in the New
York Times this Sunday and the vacancy announcement is circulating online. 
Our search consultant is already receiving applications and pursuing leads.
 I ask for your help with making the candidate pool as rich as possible by
sending me the names of suitable potential candidates.  We would like to
begin the first round interviews within a few weeks, so please forward the
names to me as soon as you can.
