The blackout of 2003 has affected the Verizon central node for the South
Campus. This has resulted in spotty service or no service in 17 Lexington
Avenue, 135 East 22nd Street and 137 East 22nd Street. The circuit
controlling voice mail services for the "802" numbers has also been affected.
Verizon was notified on Saturday August 16th and they continue to work on
the problems. You will be informed as we are informed.
Mitel service and voice mail has been restored and is working as it was
prior to the blackout. We are still experiencing some busy signals on
incoming calls. Mitel is continuing to address this issue.
E-mail services continue to be available for all users.
