To: The Baruch College Community

From: President Kathleen Waldron

On Sunday, December 27th, a tsunami resulting from a strong earthquake
in the Indian Ocean claimed the lives of at least 50,000 people in
Southeast Asia. As an international community, Baruch College deeply
feels the devastating effects of this natural disaster of catastrophic
proportion. As we await word of the safety of our over 750 students
from the affected countries, our prayers, best wishes and deepest
sympathies are sent out to all inhabitants and visitors of Southeast
Asia.

In this time of crisis, members of the Baruch College community may wish
to consider offering donations to agencies that will be deploying
assistance to Southeast Asia during this time of need. We offer this
list of charitable agencies aiding the Asia earthquake/tsunami victims
