The MCI circuit which carries outbound calls is experiencing problems. You
may have heard static or received the message "calls barred" when
attempting to make a call this afternoon. As a result, I have asked MCI to
bring the circuit down and start repairs immediately. Circuit testing will
begin and a technician will be sent as soon as possible.
