All members of the Baruch College community are invited to attend a
reception in honor of Vince Passaro, Baruch’s director of public relations,
to celebrate the publication of his first novel, VIOLENCE, NUDITY, ADULT
CONTENT (Simon & Schuster, 2002)—a book, set in New York City, amidst its
many delights and degradations, about crime, passion, domestic life, and
redemption.
A review from a few days ago in the Baltimore Sun begins as follows: “From
the flood of fiction surging into bookshops, very occasionally an
extraordinary new voice emerges. The latest to startle me is that of Vince
Passaro. ...Though readers of Esquire, GQ and other such periodicals may be
familiar with his short fiction and essays, this is Passaro’s first book, a
novel of unusual energy and intensity.”
The reception will take place on Monday, Feb. 11, at 4:30 p.m., in the
Faculty Lounge, 7th floor of the Newman Library Building. Copies of the
book will be available.
We look forward to seeing you there.
