On December 1, CUNY will release a new web-based version of
CUNY+, the online library catalog. The classic version of CUNY+,
which runs on the CUNY mainframe computer, will remain searchable
for several months. However, the catalog records in the mainframe
version will not be updated to reflect new acquisitions or the status of
library items. Current information will only be available in the new
CUNY+.

The new CUNY+ has improved features that were requested by our
users. For example, it automatically defaults to a search of Baruch
holdings when used on the Baruch campus.

At some time in 2003 you will be able to use CUNY+ to request
materials directly from other CUNY campuses and have them
delivered for pick up at the Newman Library. We will notify you when
this feature and other enhancements are functional.

The search screens in the new CUNY+ have been designed to be
user friendly and intuitive. If you have experience searching the World
Wide Web, then using the new CUNY+ should not pose a problem.
The library plans to provide training and user assistance in the spring
semester for advanced features of the new system. In the meantime,
if you need assistance, please contact the librarian assigned as the
liaison to your department or contact the reference staff using this link:
