Dear Colleagues:

Just a reminder that the second of five lectures given by the candidates
for chair of the Department of Black and Hispanic Studies will take place
on Friday, February 15, 2002, at  1:30  3:30pm in Room 8-150.

The speaker is Dr. Hector Cordero-Guzman, Assistant professor of Sociology
at New School    University; and the title of his lecture is "Immigration and
Community-Based Organizations in    New York."
