The joys of this holiday season were diminished by the tsunamis that struck South
Asia and East Africa. Many New Yorkers are responding by donating to
organizations involved in the relief effort.

If you are planning to make a CUNY Campaign gift (the deadline has been extended
to January 31), please be aware that you can designate part or all of it to a CUNY
Campaign agency that is working to assist the victims of this tragedy. Among the
agencies participating in this year’s campaign and involved in helping in South Asia
and East Africa are:

AmeriCares, American Jewish World Service, American Red Cross, Brother’s
Brother Foundation, CARE, Catholic Relief Services, Christian Children’s Fund,
Christian Reformed World Relief Committee, Church World Service, Concern
Worldwide, Direct Relief International, Doctors Without Borders, Food for the Hungry,
International Medical Corps, International Orthodox Christian Charities, International
Rescue Committee, Lutheran World Relief, MAP International, Mercy Corps,
Operation USA, Oxfam America, Project Hope, Salvation Army, UNICEF, World
Emergency Relief, World Concern, World Relief, and World Vision.

You may designate any of these agencies in making your pledge to the CUNY
Campaign. Again, the campaign has been extended to January 31. If you need
more information or a CUNY Campaign pledge form, please contact Brian Kell at
212-802-2985 or by e-mail, [log in to unmask]
