Re: Two Important Meetings

Has your pension followed the stock market down a steep rocky road
and what can you do about it? Two experienced senior consultants
from TIAA-CREF, Pat Burgdorf and John Sheehan, will hold a Q and A.
Your Qs, their As.
           Thursday, October 10, 2002, 12:30-2:30 PM
Skylight Room, Rm 306, 17 Lexington Ave.
Funeral meats will be served in keeping with the theme.

The Welfare Fund, which underwrites medical, drug, dental, optical
and other insurance for employees of CUNY (including those on the
Executive Pay Plan), faces an immediate $6 million deficit and the
cessation of all benefits by July, 2003. Changes in coverage and
delivery will be voted upon at the end of October by the trustees of the
Welfare Fund. This meeting is important to you and your family---it is
about the future of your health insurance. Steve London, a trustee of
the Fund and VP of the PSC, will attend.
