In a continuing effort to provide faculty with tools to ease their
workload, BCTC and the Office of the Registrar have launched on-line
submissions of final grades (WebGrade) for the Summer I 2004 semester. From
any computer with internet capability, faculty can access a secure website
to submit grades onto an electronic roster. Until final submission, these
grades can be reviewed and edited whenever necessary. Once submitted, the
grades will be automatically sent to students via e-mail and loaded within
a few hours to the student information system (SIMS/BOSS). Copies will
also be sent to the instructor and their department for their records.
It is important to note that faculty should do either the new WebGrade
process or the traditional "bubble sheet" process, not both. By using
WebGrade faculty can reduce the time it takes for students to receive their
grades, reduce clerical workload and opportunity for error in grade sheet
processing and avoid another trip back to campus after finals. If you use
WebGrade, please destroy the grade sheet to avoid confusion.
An on-line tutorial has been developed at www.baruch.cuny.edu/bctc/webgrade.
If you have any questions about this new service please feel free to
