Latin Jazz All-Stars Perform at 11th Annual Milt Hinton Concert
The Latin-Jazz All Stars perform the 11th Annual Milt Hinton Jazz
Perspectives Concert. On Thursday, November 7, 2002, at 1 pm, the
seven-piece band will take to the stage of Mason Hall, 17 Lexington
Ave. (at 23rd St.), to perform their distinctive blend of Latin and jazz
music. The concert, one of the highlights of BaruchÕs cultural
calendar, draws hundreds of students, faculty and administrators. It is
also free and open to the public.
The Latin Jazz All Stars consist of several celebrated Latin jazz
musicians: trumpeter/lead Michael Mossman, tenor saxophonist
David Sanchez, trombonist Steve Turre, pianist Arturo OÕFarrill, alto
saxophonist Antonio Hart, bassist Andy Gonzalez, and percussionist
Pheonix Rivera. Collectively, the group represents the best in Latin
jazz sounds.
