1. The Subotnick Center announces two special events.

On Oct. 28, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 SFSC Special Live Event -- Federal Reserve Open
Market Committee Meeting -- on the SFSC Trading Floor.

On Oct. 30th, from 2:00 to 4:00pm the New York Board of Trade (NYBOT -
coffee, sugar, coca, ++) floor traders and price reporters will return to
the Subotnick Center to conduct another Trader Talk simulated trading
session. There will be a general introduction to the futures markets from
1:00 to 2:00pm including the use of Reuters/Bloomberg/TradeStation as well
as how the "trading pit" will work once the futures traders get here.

Students learn hand signals and conduct simulated "open outcry" trades on
our seminar room "trading floor" with actual NYBOT floor traders!! Last
year was a big success with about 160 students participating in the NYBOT
event.

We hope to film both of these events, so it may be everyone's
opportunity to be a film star when they participate.

Please trade/shout this news to all interested students and faculty
members!
