As you may be aware, Daylight Savings Time commences early this year, on
March 11th. Microsoft has made a patch available for Windows XP users who
have Service Pack 2 installed.
BCTC will be deploying the patch to these users on Thursday morning, March
8th. When the patch is deployed, you will notice a pop-up window
indicating that an update is about to be installed. You will then receive
a prompt asking you to reboot your computer. You can delay this reboot,
but after two days the computer will reboot automatically. If you have
already installed the patch, you do not need to do anything, and the patch
will not be installed twice.
If you have concerns about whether you are running a supported Operating
System, please contact the Help Desk at extension 1010.
