The Bernard L. Schwartz Communication Institute
on Monday, March 4,
presents
"Meeting the Challenges of Providing Formative Feedback to Students
in Oral Communication"
A Faculty Seminar on Communication-Intensive Instruction
by Peter McAliney (Prof. of Management)
Oral communication is an important part of the
communication-intensive program. It is somewhat difficult to coach
students in this aspect of communication due to the intense level of
interaction that is required. Prof. McAliney will discuss his approach
for infusing oral communication into Business Policy 5100, the
capstone course in the Zicklin School of Business. Participants will be
invited to join in a discussion of how providing formative feedback can
be implemented effectively to make courses across the curriculum
communication-intensive.
The seminar will take place in the Institute's Resource Room on
Monday, March 4 from 2pm to 3:30pm.
The Institute is located in Room 323 of the Annex (137 East 25th
Street) right across from the vertical campus.
Coffee, tea and pastries will be served. RSVP (646) 312-2060.
