This event is free and open to the public.

Carol Muske-Dukes is the author of thirteen books--seven books of poems,
four novels, and two collections of essays. Her most recent book of poems,
Sparrow, was a finalist for the National Book Award in Poetry in 2003. She
has just completed a new novel, Channeling Mark Twain, forthcoming in
March of 2007. Her books have received Most Notable Book recognition from
The New York Times Book Review, have been finalists for the Los Angeles
Times Book Prize, and have won the Poetry Society of America's Castagnola
Award. She has been the recipient of a John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship, a
National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, a Library of Congress Award,
and the Dylan Thomas Poetry Award.

This reading is co-sponsored by the Department of English
of the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences.
