CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR: CAN IT BE MANAGED?

All faculty occasionally experience student behavior that makes
teaching and learning more difficult than necessary. Over the years
many of us have learned techniques that help reduce or even
eliminate such behaviors. But we can always learn more, especially
from each other.

On Friday, December 6 at 10:00 in the Faculty/Staff Lounge
(VC14-290), the Provost's Office will sponsor an informal discussion
of the problem of classroom management. We'll compare notes and
explore solutions. This should be of particular interest to new faculty,
but the attendance of faculty with more experience also would be
highly desirable.
